Sam Overbeck

Sam Overbeck is a performer and teacher of morris and sword dancing across England and the east coast of America. After growing up morris dancing in the Boston area, he now dances with the Pinewoods Morris Men, Ten Hill Morris, Kraken Rapper Sword, and Mystic Valley Morris, the latter two being teams of his own co-creation. Sam has spent his last two summers in England learning from and performing with as many teams as would let him, and sharing dances of his own. This summer he is eager to return to camp and share what he’s learned of traditional morris and sword dances, and how they can evolve.
