We are hoping to be able to have camps in person in 2021, but will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will adjust our plans as necessary. The health and safety of our community is our top priority. Where possible we are rehiring the staff we had planned for 2020, although there may be some changes. We don’t know when registration will open, but you can check back here for updates. To receive updates about camps and online programs via email, sign up for our email list.

Family weeks may limit registrations by the age of kids to ensure appropriate class sizes. Adult weeks are open to anyone aged 15 and over (13 and over at Cavell). There is no childcare or classes for children at adult weeks, but we may be able to accept a limited number of children – if you are interested in bringing your child to an adult session, please call or email us to ask.

To encourage an immersive experience for all campers, registration is normally only for full week programs. If you would like to attend one of our camp sessions but cannot make it to the whole week, please contact us to see if we can accommodate you.


Camp fees have not yet been decided for 2021 – the current information is for 2020.

Camp fees cover all accommodation, meals from dinner on the arrival day to breakfast on the departure day, and all of the various dance, music, and song events in the program.

Deposits and Payments

We ask that you pay $150 per person as a deposit to confirm your registration, with the remainder being due by May 20th (for sessions starting in July) or June 20th (for sessions starting in August). Deposits and payments are processed upon receipt. In the case of cancellation from the waitlist or from a session, some of the fee may be refundable – please refer to our cancellation policy for details. There is a fee of $25 for late payments. If you can’t afford the full amount, please apply for a scholarship and we may be able to reduce the cost.

Online payments can be made with Mastercard or VISA. Mailed-in registrations can be paid by Mastercard, VISA or by check, made payable to CDSS, in U.S. Funds. Please mail to: CDSS, 116 Pleasant St Suite 345, Easthampton, MA 01027.


We know that a week at camp isn’t cheap, but CDSS wants to make this incredible experience accessible to as many people as possible. We offer a variety of scholarships to reduce the cost of coming to camp – please view our scholarship page for more info. You can apply for a scholarship when you register for camp, or by logging into CDSS Commons later to add this information, and we will do our best to assist you.

We ask campers to pay a $150 deposit when they register for camp. If you want to apply for a scholarship but are unable to pay the deposit, please call (413-203-5467, Extension 101) or email (camp@cdss.org) the CDSS Office to let us know which session you’re interested in and we can process your scholarship application without a deposit payment.

Scholarships are made possible by generous support from CDSS members and our music and dance communities. If you are fortunate enough to be in a position to do this, you can make a donation to scholarship funds when you register for camp to pay it forward and help someone on a limited income join you there.


All 2020 sessions are canceled due to Coronavirus/COVID-19. All campers are offered a full refund, despite our normal cancellation policy listed below.

If you do have to cancel, please let as know as soon as possible, as there may be someone on the waitlist eager to attend. CDSS may retain a cancellation fee depending on the date of cancellation:

  • Before March 23rd 2020 – no fee
  • Cancellation from waitlist at any time – no fee
  • Cancellation due to insufficient scholarship aid – no fee
  • March 23rd to 8 weeks before the session starts – $75/person, max of $150/registration
  • 8 weeks before camp to 2 weeks before camp – $200/person, max of $400/registration
  • Less than two weeks before camp – $400/person, max of $800/registration
  • If you do not notify us of cancellation before camp starts, we will retain the entire payment

Registrations are not transferable.

Camp Waiver

Everyone attending a CDSS camp must sign a waiver of liability to participate.

If you are an adult (aged 18 or older) registering yourself for camp, you will be asked to complete this when you register online. If someone else registers for you (for instance if a spouse/partner or family member registers several people as a group) then each individual adult will have to log into CDSS Commons to complete their waiver. 

For children accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, the waiver can be completed online as part of the registration process. For children attending without their parent or legal Guardian (for instance a child coming to a family camp with their grandparent), there is a special form that must be printed and signed both by the parent or legal guardian and the adult who is attending camp with the child.

Adults only – we need the signature of each adult.

Families – at least one parent/guardian needs to fill this out for each minor (under age 18) attending camp. 

Minors attending without a parent/legal guardian – This waiver needs to be printed and signed by both the parent/guardian of the child and the person who will serve as guardian at camp.
