Gumby Falk began dancing regularly in October of 2006 and hasn’t looked back! In 2012, she began learning to do sound from the esteemed Alan Roberts. She has helped run sound for local dances in Western Massachusetts, and for special events and camps in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, California, and now Cascade of Music & Dance. Her goal is to make sure everyone can hear every instrument and the caller clearly, without making the overall volume too loud.
Gumby believes that service to her community is one of the greatest contributions she can make. She runs the Corvallis Contra Weekend in Corvallis, OR, is a committee member and the talent coordinator for the Downtown Amherst Contra Dance, and is the Secretary of the Friends of Greenfield Dance.
A Master Gardener, a landscaper, and pickleball player, Gumby enjoys traveling and keeping up with friends, going out for walks, and Contra, English, Scottish, and rapper sword dancing. And, of course, tie dye!
