Sam Overbeck

Sam Overbeck is a performer and teacher of morris and sword dancing across England and the East Coast of America. After growing up morris dancing in the Boston area, he now dances with the Pinewoods Morris Men, Ten Hill Morris, Kraken Rapper Sword, and Mystic Valley Morris, the latter two being teams of his own co-creation. Since he was last at Agassiz in 2023, Sam has spent his summers in England learning from and performing with as many teams as would let him and sharing dances of his own. This summer he is eager to share what he’s learned of the traditional morris and sword dances and the creative ways they evolve.
