Brendan TaafeBrendan Taaffe is a musician, composer, and crankie artist based in southern Vermont. Well-known throughout Europe and the US as a songleader, Brendan has worked extensively with Village Harmony and with Natural Voice choirs in the UK. He is the director of The Bright Wings Chorus, an ensemble focused on his original compositions, and a founding member of the Waxwing Four, a jubilee gospel quartet. As an artist, he focuses on crankies, moving illustrated scrolls that accompany songs and stories. His artwork has been featured in music videos and in the Cambridge Revels. Brendan also plays fiddle, banjo, and guitar, holding a Master’s degree in Irish music from the University of Limerick.
