Dance, Music, & Song Camps
Jared Kirkpatrick (JWalk, Starling) has been immersed in the contra dance world all his life, and has been lucky enough to play with multiple dance bands. With very broad musical influences and interests from Balkan harmony singing to fusion and jazz music, he loves focusing on the possibilities that arise when these styles influence each other and come together. Jared is currently based in Philadelphia, studying jazz vibraphone at Temple University and traveling whenever possible to stay immersed in various dance communities up and down the East coast. He is very excited to be at camp both to lead singing with Rachel Fifer as well as with fiddler Mo Brachfeld as the contra dance duo Starling!
