Jenny Beer

Jenny Beer (Philadelphia) leads English Country Dancing, and occasionally Scottish and Contra.  A joyful caller, she strives to give everyone a good time–the occasional dancers, the long-time dancers, those with bouncy energy, those who are feeling less spry these days; the ones eager for to learn new dances, the ones who love old favorites, and the musicians playing for it all. Post-pandemic she started a new community contra dance focused on mentoring the upcoming generation of callers and musicians, as well as an afternoon “Gentle English” dance. And, yes, she crafts new dances now and again, and will bring some with her to camp. Jenny has been on Campers’ Week staff twice, and is delighted to be part of this week of intergenerational fun again.
